The week of the 10 to 13 May offered a celebrated event at Spain’s Fira de Barcelona, which hosted the Integrated Systems Europe 2022 for hundreds of the world’s top immersive and audiovisual tech firms.

Further abroad, many companies such as Meta and Delta Reality also made huge moves in the extended reality (XR) space by releasing key updates and teasers on their respective advancements in virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VR/AR/MR).

Zuckerberg Teases Project Cambria VR Headset

Meta CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg teased audiences with a video of him testing an obscured Project Cambria headset, it was reported last Thursday.

In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg blurred the head-mounted display (HMD) while demoing ‘The World Beyond’ to show the headset’s Presence Platform and passthrough capabilities.

Illuminarium Reveals Global Push at ISE 2022 Barcelona

Illuminarium, a major US firm tasked with designing and hosting mass XR experiences, revealed in a keynote speech at the ISE 2022 that it would expand its immersive solutions across the world.

Company CEO Alan Greenberg announced the news in a speech at the event, where he stated the Atlanta, Georgia-based firm aimed to democratise “extraordinary experiences” for attendees.

Delta Reality Joins VR/AR Association

Delta Reality, a Zagreb, Croatia-based firm specialising in mixed reality solutions, announced last Tuesday it had joined the Virtual and Augmented Reality Association (VRARA).

The firm stated it would join the organisation’s global stakeholder’s board as a member as it aims to assist enterprises and startups in building marketing strategies and adopting XR solutions.

Krouli, Avocor Explore Google Glass and Google Meet at ISE 2022

Swedish XR reseller Krouli Solutions and US unified communication solutions provider Avocor spoke to XR Today at the ISE 2022 about how Google’s app ecosystem empowered firms and manufacturers, namely via its upcoming Glass AR smart glasses.

The firms explained how Google’s integrated app solutions had developed additional use cases across Google Glass, Avocor’s Google Meet Series One devices, smartphones, tablets, and other compatible devices, among others.

Execs from both enterprises stated that Google’s Meet platform was instrumental in assisting remote workers by providing stable video feeds to operators from anywhere in the world, along with optimal interoperability across tools and interfaces, providing such teams with flexible, reliable communications.
